At Flow Theory, we intend to bring a multi-media music platform to the Greater Philadelphia area, so musicians from our great city don't feel the need to move to New York or LA as a requirement, but rather have those two great cities as an option. On the content side, we've launched ideas like The Queue (a genre-less playlist comprised of exclusively Philadelphia musicians), “Song Of The Day,” and more to come. On the events side, we've hosted Off The Clock, Industry Professionals Networking & Sunset On Summer Fest to much success, with more on the way. Together, they show we're capable of existing in both spaces.
At Flow Theory, our mission is to give the artists we work with a platform to showcase their craft in front of a live audience, as well as network with fellow creatives/community members of kind. On May 9th, we hosted the inaugural Off The Clock at Velvet Whip Philly, where three performers shared the story behind their work before taking the stage. Live footage from the night lives on "The Encore" tab, and future events, along with RSVP details, will be announced on the home page.
On July 29th, we hosted a creatives networking event where we connected with local producers, content creators, media members, and industry professionals from Philadelphia and the surrounding neighborhoods. The goal? To create an environment where our creatives could build community and opportunity with one another. Based on testimonials from those in attendance, we believe we achieved that.
On August 28th, we hosted our third event with The Velvet Whip, dubbed “Sunset On Summer Fest,” a seven-hour event curated and planned with live music spanning all genres, on-stage interviews, and opportunities to network with Philadelphia's own musicians. The night was a memorable one and can be revisited by using The Encore tab.
Performers from previous event(s) along with artist(s) we're looking forward to working with at future events live on a community playlist called "The Queue" (updated daily). Crafted so you just hit play. No shuffling required.
If you're an artist who'd like to see your music featured on The Queue or participate at a future Flow Theory event(s), the submissions tab is open.
To the artists, The Queue listeners, and the community at large: thank you for being part of Flow Theory.
